We believe that our formative years in Philadelphia — spent at Temple and Girls' and Central High Schools, respectively — provided us with the skills, tools and knowledge that have guided us throughout our lives. Our experiences at Temple offered us opportunities that we would not have had otherwise, and which enrich our lives to this day. That's why we give to Temple — so that others can have the opportunities and experiences this great university affords.

We were inspired by the fund Estelle's sister and mentor, Alice Raefsky, created to assist disabled students at the university. We followed in her generous footsteps by establishing the Estelle R. & Gerson J. Alexander Endowed Scholarship Fund to benefit talented graduates of Central and Girls' High Schools who demonstrate financial need. We also support Temple University Libraries through the Estelle R. & Gerson J. Alexander Librarians' Opportunity Fund, as we believe an outstanding research library is at the heart of our university.

Temple's Gift Planning office helped us figure out how to add to our endowed funds from our estates. These planned gifts will help extend the impact of our Scholarship and Librarians' Opportunity funds to even more students.

We are truly fortunate to have the means to give back to Temple. We're proud to support the work of the university and provide current and future generations of students with their own enriching Temple experience.
